Dan Ettinger  is one of the most sought-after conductors of his generation. From the beginning of Season 2015-2016 is the Principal Conductor of  the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker and general Music Director of the Stuttgart City.

He conducts in the most important OPera Houses in the world like  the Metropolitan opera House, Washington National Opera, Royal Opera House – Covent Garden, ’Opéra National de Paris, New National Theatre of Tokyo, the Opernhaus Zurich, Salzburger Festspiele, Wiener Staatsoper and Bayerische Staatsoper.

From 2002 to 2012, and again from 2018, Dan Ettinger is Principal Conductor od Israel Symphonic Orchestra. From 2009 to 2016 he was Music Director of the National Theatre of Mannheim amd from 2010 to 2015 ha was Music Director of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, awith whom he still collaborates as “Conductor Laureate”

His performances with Stuttgarter Philharmoniker, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and Israel Symphonic Orchestra are at the heart of his symphonic activity. He has conducted Tosca  by Puccini and Manon by Massenet at  Opéra National de Paris, and Royal Opera House – Covent Garden con Faust di Gounod, dove tornerà in questa stagione con Turandot.  As Music Director and  Chorus Master at the Israel Opera in Tel Aviv he has worked on a various repertoire and in 2003 he became assistant of Maestro Daniel Barenboim at Staatsoper unter den Linden, where he  has been “Kapellmeister” until 2009.

From 2002 to 2003 he was Guest Conductor at Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. Under his musical directition he has worked on several live recordings with artists like Diana Damrau, Adrianne Pieczonka, Fabio Martino, Hagai Yodan and  Gil Shaham. Moreover, some performances he has conducted for the Ring Cicle at Mannheim National Theatre and Le Nozze di Figaro at Salzburger Festspiele have been captured for a DVD edition.

From Season 2022/23, Dan Ettinger is the Music Director of Teatro di San Carlo.
